• The application runs on an outdated platform such as .NET Framework, Java, PHP, VBA or Access, and the move has been postponed several times.
• Individual components and libraries are no longer supported by their vendors.
• Business logic sits inside a monolith, so every change touches the whole system.

• Inventory of the existing code: projects, dependencies, database access, build and deployment paths.
• Migration of the application to a current platform, for example .NET 8, a current Java version or a web-based reimplementation.
• Replacement of unsupported components with current libraries or our own implementations.
• Decoupling the monolith into separated modules or services with clear interfaces.
• Move of the application and its database to the cloud, for example to Azure.
• Set-up of the build and release pipeline, for example in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

  Defined scope, agreed deliverables and a fixed price. Suitable when requirements and interfaces are documented.

• Time and materials

  Billing by hours worked. Suitable when scope is refined during the work or priorities change.

• Operations and maintenance retainer

  An agreed monthly hour budget for maintenance, updates and small extensions to existing applications.

• Subcontractor framework agreement

  We work as a subcontractor within another provider's project. The basis is service and work contracts, not staff leasing.
